The ASLab Autumn seminar is a periodic exercise of team-building and research focusing.
The year, the topic was General Autonomous Systems. The seminar intention was to serve as a brainstorming on the applicability of general systems theory to the grounding of intelligent control systems engineering processes.
The ASLab long term project ASys
is focused in the development of universal technology for the construction of
high autonomy systems.
As part of this effort, we must do a solid scientific grounding of the concept of \emph{system}. To do this we are trying the conceptual scaffolding provided
by Bertalanffy's General Systems Theory.
As a first step, it is necessary the evaluation of General Systems Theory for the domains and purposes we are interested in.
The purpose of this seminar is the introduction and starting of this GTS view
of cognitive control systems under the real-world constraints for embedded
system technology.
Some effects of the seminar are expected.
